Cut-off grouting in the construction of subsea tunnels has been regarded as a key factor that causes a successful construction of an underground space. An Intelligent Multi Grouting system, IMG, which can control the pressure and flow rate of the grout automatically, and a grouting design software which can be conveniently used to provide a package of design of grouting patterns have been developed for subsea tunnel construction. Both IMG and the design software have been applied to the Boryeong subsea tunnel. In this paper, we conducted the field test and the results show that IMG is a very effective and quick system to obtain water tightness resulted from not only its high pressure-large capacity but also from its accurate control abilities of injection. Besides, the grouting design software is also efficient to reduce the time and labor in the change of grouting patterns from draft design to as-built design according to the condition of geology and water ingress.
