The pipe jacking method across the river is suitable under the condition of the good geological condition and the low water pressure for the straight line jacking method. There is no longitudinal curve pipe jacking across the rivers for the steep slope in China. The length of the Fu Chun River pipe jacking tunnel is 658.05m in total. The water pressure is high, the slope is steep, and the crossing stratum is complex. Through adopting the rock-breaking slurry-water balanced pipe jacking equipment, deploying the special sealing largestroke combined inter jack, the automatic lubrication grouting system with the excellent lubricating effect, and the gyro guiding system, the 14.53% slope “V” type longitudinal curve crossing rivers pipe jacking tunnel was broke through successfully. The successful implementation of the project exploited the new design concept and accumulated the relevant construction parameter & experience under the complex conditions.
