Hybrid simulation is an advanced structural seismic experimental method that combines experimental physical models with analytical numerical models; its versatility and capability of simulating seismic response of full-scale specimens make it particularly applicable to general civil structural systems. Experimental physical models test the highly nonlinear model parts of the structure and numerical models analyse elastic model parts of the structure in hybrid simulation. Hybrid simulation can be considered as a conventional finite element analysis where physical models of structures’ components which are embedded in the numerical model. In order to test the validity of analytical model, three different analytical numerical models are performed with Shake 91, OpenSees and Abaqus. Free field seismic models were performed respectively to compare the displacement and acceleration of each soil layer. A typical section of the subway station is adopted to analyse by using dynamic time-history analysis.
