The time domain electromagnetic method, TDEM, was conducted to estimate the geological condition and structure on a gneiss tunnel construction site in the Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Three dimensional distribution of resistivity were obtained by plural three measuring lines with TDEM and geological distribution and geotechnical problems were inferred. This paper described the estimation results of geological assessment by TDEM for the tunnel design and construction, and the verification result of the applicability with result of geological conditions and construction data after tunnel excavated. As a result, three areas were noted when excavation had been extracted by changes of resistivity distribution from TDEM and boring exploration results. These areas corresponded to the boundary of the lithofacies or vulnerable geology from the excavation data. The resistivity from TDEM was confirmed that correspond to the lithofacies on the gneiss mountain.
