Application to the Reliability Index of Tunnel Maintenance based on Field Inspection
New integrated approach for assessing the integrity of underground structure has been verified with the rebound number, ultra-sonic speed, carbonation speed, and deterioration rate in the Precise Inspection for Safety and Diagnosis by KISTEC. To combine the evaluation of each NDT (Non-Destructive Test) technic, limit state function has been suggested based on the experimental output from 28 sections in Seoul Metro Subway. The normal and log-normal distribution are applied to estimate the characteristics of NDT results. The order of repair among the inspected sections or intensively maintenance area has been evaluated using by the reliability index and environment factor. Furthermore, the remaining service life has been predicted based on the proposed limit state function.
