Study on the mechanical behaviour of an existing metro station nearby another
In the case of Jincheng Square Station with Park and Ride in Chengdu, China, where the strata involve an amount of cobblestone, the new Subway Line 16 and transfer zone is in proximity to the existing Subway Line 18 station. So far, however, there are not any constitutive models better behaving the sandy cobble stratum which may exist volume stress yielding. This paper aims to find a constitutive model to behave the mechanical behaviour of sandy cobble stratum, to apply it to simulate station excavation in this stratum, and to verify it by comparing numerical results, considering different constitutive models (Cap-Yield model or Mohr-Coulomb model). First, the stress-strain curves to cobble stratum derived from numerical triaxial tests using the Cap-Yield model agreed well with laboratory tests. Moreover, by comparing the numerical results using different constitutive models during station excavating, it can be seen that when the Mohr-Coulomb model was adopted, the rebound nearby the surface of the foundation pit was incorrect and inauthentic, while for the Cap-Yield model the deformation was rational. As a result, the Cap-Yield model can be used to simulate the cobble stratum and effectively solved the abnormal rebound problems for foundation pit excavation.Recipient :
