The grouting method for reinforcing the tunnel and soft ground is required. It is also necessary to secure the stability of underground structures and adjacent structures. With the application of the grouting method, it is expected to increase the ground strength and prevent the leakage of water. Also, it is mainly used in parallel with the excavation method. However, the reinforcement effect is not largely exerted because the permeation of the grouting material is low. Therefore, eco-friendly biopolymer grouting is introduced to increase the permeation of grouting. In this study, using sodium alginate solution, a one-dimensional injection experiment was conducted to evaluate the permeability of grout material. In addition, the penetration behavior of the grout material was simulated by using the pore network model, which can simulate the ability of grouting permeation.
