  Lattice Girder Assemblies for Use as Final Concrete Liner Reinforcement

  As the use of lattice girders for initial ground support has matured, this paper explores the advancement and design development of lattice girder type systems for use as final cast-in-place concrete liner reinforcement. The studied area of application includes underground caverns, stations, and tunnel cross passages which typically require hand-tied rebar mats to accommodate the varying geometry and intersectional bar tying complexities. Lattice girder assemblies represent prefabricated modules which will significantly improve worker safety, lower installation costs, enhance waterproof lining systems, and provide higher quality rebar matting. This system is “Patent Pending”.
