Research and Optimization of Wood Cushions’ Compression Deformation Characteristics in Curved Pipe Jacking

In this paper, the authors analyzed the deformation characteristics and stress state change process of wood cushion by dividing it into two stages. Then, use the compressive strength machine of concrete blocks to test the wood cushions’ compression characteristics, fit its deformation characteristic curve. In basis of above theoretical and experimental analysis, taking a large curve pipe jacking project as an example, give an optimum method with main indicators of compression deformation curve of wood Cushion, pipe diameter and the maximum jacking force in pipe jacking and explained what's uneven force on the end face of concrete pipe joint in curve jacking.
