Simplified seismic analysis for axial deformation on cylindrical underground structure
The seismic deformation method to evaluate the axial deformation of cylindrical underground structure is reconsidered through the exact solution based on the elastodynamics. The results show that the solution calculated by an elastic foundation model shows good agreement with that calculated by elastodynamics except when frequency of the seismic wave is high and the axial wavelength is short. The seismic deformation method can evaluate axial deformation of cylindrical underground structure in general when the ground-structure interaction is evaluated appropriately.Seismic wave, Underground structure, Seismic deformation method, Soil-structure interaction, Elastodynamics.Recipient :
