Grouting works have become a key essential part of temporary and permanent works in the fields of tunnelling and complex demanding construction projects, mainly in the forefront of construction to sufficiently prepare weak ground to meet the prerequisites for construction. Grouting measures are hereby often carried out as a specific measure with the emphasis to increase the bearing capacity (consolidation), stabilise or to seal the ground. The specific assignment of these measures to meet mechanical or hydrogeological characteristics necessitates the in depth knowledge of the ground parameters, stress –strain behaviour of the ground, as well as a comprehensible surveillance and documentation of the ground reaction.
