  According to the latest data released by International Energy Agency, China has overtook the US as the world’s largest energy consumer. In 2010, the GDP of China amounts to 9.27 percent of the total world. The percentages of main natural resources consumed by China are: iron ore 43%, copper 25%, coal 43.4%, steel 47.7%, aluminium 32%, cement more than 53%, crude oil 9.7%. According to the report from China, China’s coal reserves will be depleted in 21 years. International Energy Agency predicts that china’s coal reserves will be exhausted in 28 years (the formation of coal usually needs more than 100 billion years).
