Fuzzy risk matrix as a risk assessment method – a case study
First planning works concerning the development of underground means of transport in Warsaw date back to 1925. The developed plan assumed constructing two metro lines – one in the north-south, second in the east-west corridor. In 1950s, the government decided about the construction of the deep metro, located 20 to 50 m under the surface. The metro was planned to fulfil in the first place the military and geopolitical requirements. For this reason the construction started from drilling a tunnel at a significant depth below the river bed. The tunnel was wide enough to allow the passage of a railway train. After about three years the construction was stopped, as it turned out to be too difficult and too expensive. All of the excavated tunnels were filled with water.Recipient :
