  Innovative waterproofing system for “Rivarolo” Tunnel

  In the field of the major underground works to ensure structures durability and functional-ity, it is essential to realize a proper waterproofing system. Especially, in Tunnel works all the products used must guarantee elevated performances with high life expectancy up to 100 years, as now frequently requested by technical specifications and customers. The division Underground Technology Team of Mapei S.p.A. is an established reference point for technologies of waterproofing systems. Through the study of new high technology ma-terials and thanks to tests carried out both on laboratories and on field, Mapei has brought to the construction field several solutions for the waterproofing issues.
