Project study of tunnels with time-dependent behaviour – Geochemical and mechanical characteristic of rock mass
In the present research, tunnel geological conditions and mineralogical properties of rock are analysed on the basis of the tunnel construction record with the occurrence of time-dependent deformation. The geology of the studied tunnel is mainly andesitic lava, dacite that includes auto- brecciated lava and pyroclastic rock, all of which have undergone hydrothermal alteration. As the results of observations of secular change in drilling cores found that, in some cases, re-observation of cores at an early stage of deterioration makes it possible to identify how deterioration will progress over the medium to long term. The results of tests on the mineralogical properties of the rock indicated that, in some cases, the prediction of the deterioration and swelling could be improved by considering the combination of minerals contained in rock, in addition to employing the traditional method of evaluating the expandability of the rock.Recipient :
