Groundwater inflow into tunnels is an important factor which, especially in TBM tunnelling, effect the time and cost of tunnel implementation .Water inrush can also impact on the environment conditiopn of tunnel area. Then, the more accurate assessment of expected flow and understanding the mechanisem of water seepage toward tunnel are among the key issues. In this context, empirical, analytical and numerical methods use the parameters that it is very complicated to estimate. In Nowsud Tunnel which excavated in west of Iran, water inflow brouth about umerous problems regarding to TBM progress and drying the sprigs. Water inrush at the tunnel face was up to 250 lit/s. The total accumulative water seepage was measured 900 lit/s. During construction , key parameters such as hydrogeological condition , amount and location of water inflow along the tunnel and inflow variation with time were monitored .In base of these findings ,it was revealed that the water discharge pattern follows major structural feature of rock mass and piezometric water level dose not varied via TBM advance rate.
