The purpose of the ECOMINT project is to test three innovative repair processes for treating water seepage in tunnels: TECTOPROOF CA - an extra thin adhesive shell composed of an epoxy resin matrix impregnated with fiberglass ; MasterSeal 345 - an adhesive “sandwich” shell composed of a temporary waterproof levelling mortar, a sprayed waterproofing product and a sprayed reinforced concrete ; PROTHEANE AC/TI - a semi-independent shell bolted to the rock composed of a draining layer and a sprayed extra fast setting waterproofing product protected with a reinforced concrete layer. These three processes can be adapted to numerous configurations: rock tunnels, tunnels covered with sprayed or formed concrete, brickwork or stonework tunnels. Their total thickness varies from a few millimetres to less than ten centimetres. The first test site is the Tunnel des Echelles in Savoie (France).
