Abstract: The Waterview Connection is the NZ Transport Agency’s largest and most challenging road project to date. The world’s 10th largest Earth Pressure Balance Tunnel Boring Machine was used to construct the 2.4 km long twin tunnels of 13.1 m internal diameter.
